Home visits are for those who are housebound and unable to leave their home. It is helpful if home visits are requested before 10am, so that the Doctors can plan their route to avoid having to return to the same area.
Please explain the symptoms to the Receptionist so the Doctor can assess the urgency of the visit. Home visits are usually done after the morning Surgery.
Please remember, a visit to the Surgery may be better than a home visit, as there is more equipment in the Surgery and more tests can be carried out there.

We are an approved training practice for GP Registrars, and Medical Students for both Queen's University Belfast and University of Ulster Magee.
Teaching new GPs and medical students is an important part of our work. Doctors will always ask your permission before the student or training doctor sits in on a consultation.
Patients may also be invited to attend student teaching sessions to discuss their case history. We are very grateful for your co-operation as it is very valuable teaching for the students.
